Drinking the right water is just as important as eating the right foods.
Why is losing weight so difficult for so many? We read health magazines, eat well and exercise persistently. Maybe we switch to zero calorie sodas, smaller portions or cut the carbs. Yet our body just doesn’t seem to listen.
For many of us, it comes down to an acid/alkaline ratio.

In addition to the thyroid troubles discussed in the video, there is another factor involved. Research from UCSF (University of California, San Francisco), shows that our bodies are being overrun with acid buildup. We are so inundated with bad food, drink, stress, dehydration, etc our body’s waste processes can’t keep up. Instead of maintaining a balance of bad (acid) in with bad out, we have way more bad staying inside of us than we can flush out. Their research determined what happens to the excess. It turns out there is only 1 type of cell the body can use for storage; the fat cell.
So when we create more internal acid (due to acidic food, drinks, stress, etc.) than the body can get rid of (through respiration, perspiration, bathroom breaks) the wastes piles up. If it weren’t for the fat cells, our kidneys and liver would be failing at an alarming rate. In order to save those organs, the body stores the acid in fat cells waiting for the day when it can finally flush the acid away. Like a garage sale that never happens. So in a frustrating twist of irony, our spare tires end up being a life preserver.
The natural weight loss strategy is quite simple:
1. Eat more veggies than meats
2. Get active several times a week
3. Replace acidic drinks with natural alkaline water
If all we do is chase calories, most of which come from acidic forming foods and drinks, the pounds will come off much slower. We have to also increase our body’s natural acid buffering capability with mineral rich foods and drinks. We need to drink enough water that we go to the bathroom regularly. We need to exercise long enough to work up a good sweat. Each of these begins to balance how much bad goes in with how much bad goes out. When you can get more going out than coming in, the weight can just fall off.
