Enhance Your Food

Picture
No matter what food, supplement, protein or weight loss shake we choose, they all depend on water for their effectiveness.

Billions are spent every year on vitamins, supplements and other dietary aids across the US. At the same time, more and more people are beginning to purchase organic, free range and non-GMO foods because we know they are more nutritious. The concern about what's happening to our food supply and who's manipulating it is at an all-time high.

For good reason. But we should be just as concerned about our water.

We aren't here to pick a favorite supplement or make a recommendation. There are plenty of places to find those. We simply encourage you to find whole food supplements you like and use them. They're a great addition to a healthy diet. Likewise, we want you to choose the most nutritious and flavorful foods available.

Water is the delivery system for every nutrient we consume. It's where the biological and chemical processes of the body occur. If all we do is wash down our supplements and food with a glass of poorly absorbed tap or a bottled water, then we are under utilizing what those nutrients could be.

Instead, we should choose a water designed for better nutrient absorption. One that goes down smoother and won't sit heavy in our stomach. One that delivers all those vital cellular nutrients exactly where they belong.

The drug companies say everyone who takes vitamins and supplements are wasting their money. Which we know is ridiculous, but… in a very small sense they are correct. We do waste a lot of what our body should be using because we chose a terrible delivery vehicle.

Nutrients need water to reach our cells. Cells need water to eliminate waste. The better the water the better each of those processes works.

So how do you know what's "better water"?

There are 2 properties which control how water gets in and out of our cells. Osmotic pressure and electrical charge. [check out the research page for examples] Without getting too complicated, water that has the right amount of alkaline minerals and a negative electrical charge flows through aquaporin water channels at a rate of billions of molecules a second. If the mineral content isn't good or the water is positively charged (think reverse osmosis, bottled or tap) the the body can't utilize it effectively. Which is why you feel bloated if you drink too much.

Good water shouldn't make you feel sloshy.

What it should do is carefully, quickly and effectively deliver all the nutrients your body needs from the food you eat.
